I must agree with Steve's comments that he learns something new every
time he goes out. I've only been sailing for 70+ years, and I still
learn something new EVERY time I go out. If you don't learn something
new each trip, you just weren't paying attention, or listening to
your craft, or watching the weather.

Captain Alan Villiers in his book "The War With Cape Horn" quotes
this from Captain Robert Miethe about his four-masted bark Pitlochry:
"She listened to the wind . . . " When your M15 listens to the wind,
try to hear what she is hearing, then see if you can hear it, too.
Steve, I have fond memories of Whidbey Island--I flew out of Port
Angeles for 4 and a half years.

No, my e-mail address is not salacious, it just refers to my last
sailboat, "The Old Cat." Check her out at <http://www.unicorn-
