I am one of the super lucky ones to recieve my M-17. I have to say, Bob did
a great job of filling my order and getting Sea Frog (the one Bob describes
as the pirate boat) safely here to Beaufort NC. I have been spending the
last few days gettting the bottom prepared for living in salt water. So
I've taped her off, sanded off the sheen on the gel coat, put on a couple of
coats of epoxy barrier paint and the first of two coats of antifouling. And
I can't wait to get her in the water for her first swim.
Everything is exactly what I had hoped for. I would suggest for anyone
having a Monty shipped on a flat bed truck to check into having your boat
shrink wrapped. My boat was absolutely filthy with road grime, soot, oily
exhaust, old tires and I think I found some traces of armadillo parts. Must
have been when it went through Arkansas.
I will post pictures as soon as I figure out how to create a site for anyone
interested in seeing the process from out of the mold to splash down.
Fair winds.
