To Whom It May Concern, I am a brand new subscriber to Montgomery Boats and joined, hopefully to find any information that one of you might have on Montgomery Panthers. I have just purchased what it purported to be a Montgomery Panther 16' racing hull from the mid-70's era.. Apparently there were only 15 ever made and I am in search of any info that might be available. Dimensions are: 15' 6" TOL, 6' 9" Beam. This hull, to my understanding was designed to race against Lasers, yet due to liability insurance issues was never brought into full production. She currently carries a main, jib and spinnaker at just over 400 sq. ft. I would Sincerely appreciate it if any of you might have some info on this design and any history behind it.
