Thanks for that link to this fantastic collection. As both a Montgomery 15
owner and an oil painter (once full-time, then I had to start paying bills), I
find the work displayed to be extraordinary. Wonderful expression of light,
and realistic veracity in the vessels and the environment.

In another "thread," some are recounting a just-completed sailing adventure
in the Apostles on Lake Superior. Those close enough to have taken that in
are close enough to check out a fantastic maritime art museum in Winona,
Minnesota. A ton of dough put into a swell museum on the west bank of the
Mississippi, in a rivertown, with maritime artwork and artifacts of surprising
caliber.
  Check it out at: http://www.mnmam.org/

Maybe there's a niche for paintings of Montgomerys asea. Or at least one or
two, to be added to the sail/sale-able gallery offerings.
