Thanks to all who answered my questions about the repair. I'll probably take your answers to the local boat house tomorrow, and see if I can negotiate a better deal, if not I'll probably drive up to Hoopers (I talked to them, and they said, as everyone else, that it's a $1000 repair). I was just hoping to save myself 16 hours of driving (twice 4 hour drives back and forth).
