objects, sorry, I don't know why I wrote "classes are equivalent" I meant objects. > Is there any reason this can't start life as a MooseX? no particular reason no, the only reason I'm suggesting in core is because this actually happens to be a common method on many other object systems (Java and .Net Object base classes come to mind, that's not to say we should be them, but they have some good idea's). This was easy to do as a role, which goes over to the MooseY thing, if I were to release it non core it wouldn't necessarily need to be put in MooseX.
