SOLUTION:
So, after days of hunting, I finally found this gem from Adam Bomb
about 1/3 of the page down here:

You create the option "data" and pass it the form element, so it would
look like

data : $('myForm')

and there you go. I still dont know why it took me days to find this
incredibly important peice of info.
