thx Sandy ... this idea was one of mine, too but i was unable to manage this with the actual structure because the arrow and folder is just the background of the parent <li>.
So if i move the clickevent from the <a> to the <li> the whole content - inlcuding the containing <ul> subtree will react on the click.
