I have asked the same question in the past, it seems that according to ECMA
script standard, in the case there is no bind parameter with pass the bind
should be with the window..
I also have a helper method called "justpass":

justpass : function(args, bind){
var self = this;
return function(){
return self.apply(bind || this, $splat(args ||
Array.slice(arguments)));
};
