Grew up watching House of Wax - the reissue with 2 images on each 35mm frame was a disappointment. but the film remains fun, because it was a good film - a fitting tribute to the original.
The original is made even more eerie because of the "two strip" color.
But for this Halloween, I'm dragging out a beautiful print of House on haunted hill - even rigging up a skeleton so I can show it in Emerge-o

always though he did as good a job as he did, because he concentrated on making a good movie - rather than on playing to the 3d crowd (much the way Hitchcock worked with 3D)
