Good Morning All,

I am enclosing a link to an old ad that I placed in MCW probably 25 (give or take) years ago. I could, indeed, get sick to my stomach and wish I still had this material and much like it, ( I do have a few), but...........many of us who collected/sold during that period can say, "why didn't I save those", etc, etc. We alll have stories of why we didn't save the toy firetruck! Note the Forbidden Planet Card for $40; North By Northwest $12...........The Searchers 1sheet; and Psycho; $90...........aghhhhhhhhhh!

Yes.........those were the days, but....I think the difference; there was very little interest in the contemporary material except perhaps the Bonds, Eastwoods, etc. Today, it's all fair bait..........Anyway, for those that might be interested in an "Ad From The Past"

I wish all the best for the upcoming Holiday Season, Vaughn

Hi Phil:

Thank's for the interesting post. Talk about give away prices. Amazing!!!  Also very depressing. I remember in the early 1970's getting a catalog from a collector/dealer in the Chicago area. He had almost all the window cards from the "classic" 1950's sci-fi movies for between $8.00 and $10.00 each. At that time I was a "newbie" and did not have much money. I wish I could look that list over again now. But maybe it's better if I don't. His prices were so giveaway. I did pick up some nice Abbott & Costello "mint" lobby  sets for $16.00 per set from another dealer. I do remember Larry Edmonds very well! At the time I had no idea what this stuff would eventually be worth. Just like when you started collecting.

Regards, Tom Pennock
