I'm not sure I agree with this.
If the desirable items get competitive bidding anywhere, then that means the items we are talking
about selling for one bid and/or the minimum are not desirable items (and very likely common items).
Since MPB's main audience is made up of this list and other hardcore collectors, isn't it very likely
that they already have the item in question (if it's common), or that they have no interest in
it if it's not a desirable item?
 
So what we are really looking at on these items is eight people who have no interest glance at
it on MPB, while on eBay those eight people also glance, but of the other 12 (who might have
been there looking for the video, or something else alltogether because of the wide
variety of available items) hopefully one will actually make an impulse purchase and buy it.
