[MOPO] WHEN DID EBAY ANNOUNCE SCREWING AROUND WITH BUY IT NOWS?

GUYS!   Was their an announcement  or any reason given  as to why you can no longer have an opening  price on Ebay  without a reserve coupled with a Buy It Now.     It seems I can only do one or the other.  This is so stupid  I can't imagine what rationale is  behind the decision .   It seems I have to determine an opening bid,  then post a reserve,  then I can opt for a Buy It Now.
