Hi Nathalie: how's your column going in MCW?
My big question is what kids don't like the old Bugs?? All the ones I know do.
Well, I bet they are the type of kids who had their parents take them to see last year's "Looney Tunes" movie. None of the kids I know saw it.
This new thing looks like the Tazmanian devil after his South Beach diet.
That's a hoot! I think the South Beach Diet, BTW, is about three months away from extinction, or at least it'll be proven to be another "fad" that flamed out like oat bran (remember when you couldn't find oat bran in the supermarkets after all that stuff about lowering cholesterol? The problem with it is it tasted like shredded wet cardboard; the worst thing since those styrofoam rice cakes).
By the way, am I the rare woman who actually likes W. C. Fields?
You are rare. About as rare as the Hope Diamond. I don't know many people today (men or women) who like WC Fields, much less remember him. The funniest thing about him is that he didn't like kids in real life AS WELL as on screen. I didn't know that Fields was a "guy" thing; first time I've heard it.

p.s. By the way, am I the rare woman who actually likes W. C. Fields? I know you mentioned the Stooges and I can actually watch them for awhile (with my favorite being Larry because he was not as cruel as Moe.) People have told me that men are usually Field's most ardent admirers. Is this true, do you think?
