Oh, how embarrassing... in the fine print below I said "from now through
March 25..." duh... today *is* March 25! What I meant to say was that the
no-fees offer runs from now through March 29 (next
Tuesday). I place the blame for this typo directly on people
having proposed way too many "happy birthday toasts" today...

Subject: no fees for movie poster
sellers this week at MPB -- Happy Birthday!
Y'all,
Something very special... this week
www.MoviePosterBid.com
celebrates its first anniversary. Everyone is invited to
click on down and join the party!
To set the record straight, I want to say that it is true that we did
not start by accident in an apartment bedroom like eBay did. No,
we don't have a folksy "creation myth, I'm afraid. The truth is
that MPB was actually *designed* to be a movie posters-only
auction site from the ground up -- and was deliberately created for
that very purpose! Imagine that.
We have just finished our first year of successful operation and
we are celebrating by temporarily suspending the regular
listing fees for the next 4 days! We would really like to make it
as easy as possible for all sellers to list a bunch of stuff for auction
this week on MPB and we can't think of a better way to do it.
So, this is an open invitation to any movie poster sellers who
have been thinking about listing on MPB...
Now is your chance to try it for free. If you have not already
registered with the site and requested seller status, you can do so very
quickly and easy just by clicking on the link above, filling out the one
page registration form (no credit card or invasive personal information
required). After you've confirmed your registration, you click on My
Area and then click on the link that says "Request Seller Status" and follow
the simple 3-lines of instructions and in no time you'll be able to start
listing auctions THIS WEEKEND to take advantage of this special No Listing
Fees offer.
Fine Print: From now through March 25, there will
be no fees charged to list items for auction, and you can list as many as
you want. There will be no fees charged to add a thumbnail "gallery" image
to your auction. There will be no fees charged to set a reserve if you want
to use one. The only fee that will be charged is our normal 3% "final
valuation" commission charged on any items that actually sell. And, if you
want to feature your auction so that it displays on the Home Page, we
still have to charge for that (but at a reduced rate of only 50 cents
instead of the usual $1 dollar charge. There is a maximum of six items
per-seller than can be featured at this reduced price).
Hey... if you've been thinking about it... NOW is the time to do
it.
Everyone have a happy Easter!
