For those who havent used Yahoo photos, I highly recommend it. I recently bought my first digital camera and have used it on a daily basis photographing my posters and only yesterday started taking pictures of everything else in the house. I created sites within my photo and emailed this information to friends and relatives in the event anything happens to me or the house or both. Works well for insurance purposes but best of all friends and relatives have been able to see family pictures from years ago. Wedding albums, Bar Mitzvahs, graduations, grade school and camp pictures, plays and musicals, pet shows and just everyday functions. I got raves from distant family members who hadnt seen pictures of their sisters and brothers in 40 years. Being in Houston and waiting out Hurricane Rita is a major task and Ive been scanning photos and creating more sites. All have since been carefully packaged in water tight compartments. If the pictures get destroyed or damaged there! will always be the websites and they can be reprinted.
It is one of the most beautiful days of the year in Houston. Not as hot as previous days and not a sign of the storm coming. Very blue sunny sky. Jogging in Memorial Park last night was great. The regulars were there including the roller bladers and bikers. All businesses are closed and the River Oaks Shopping Center is boarded up like "The Last Picture Show." Looks like a ghost town.
