Hey Gang,
I just got off the phone with Catherine Williamson who
is the organizer of the Louis Leithold auction. She told me that the
posters offered in the auction did not include the posters that were faded from
Louis' collection. She also told me that they were photographed in the frames.
She said they would never use stock images, the images on the website and
catalog are the actual items for sale.
She also asked me to let you know that if you want to
sign up for phone bidding, to please do it today or tomorrow at the latest. She
said it was better to sign up for phone bidding and then cancel, than to not
sign up until the last minute when things are crazy. The catalog shows the
number to set up bidding at (323) 850-7500. Good luck.

Subject: [MOPO] bonham's auction
absentee bidding on this auction is scary. i definitely want 2
posters.....but the descriptions are horrible. these are 2 sought-after
titles, which will sell from the floor at high prices if the conditions are
good. but you gotta be there to know. if the conditions are not
good, guess what? i win !!!! not
exactly an ideal situation. a possible consideration for
me---- telephone bid.
did the auctioneer remove the frames then take the photographs?
