.
Good Morning MOPO,

.............oh! oh..........guess I goofed, heh? haha

I just, yesterday, broke away for my usual stuff; stills .....and decided to pull some rather nice lobby cards  from my archives and put up on ebay. I, quite frankly, dislike reserve  auctions myself, but........without a heck of a lot of thinking decided to put a reserve on some of the items rather than a real hefty starting price.........I have five rather nice SUNSET BOULEVARD cards and I guess, in that "moment in time" went the reserve route. It was not a solid notion, but a simple act without a great deal of forethought.....

I have received a couple of E-mails asking for the what the reserve is on a particular card....and sent it willingly. Thus, if anyone on MOPO is interested, the reserve  are readily available to you if you are interested............I have the following auctions right now for another 5 or so days; Sunset Blvd and Hondo have a reserve; the highest for the top  Sunset B. card is $400.00 and go down from there. Hondo reserve is $125.00.  The others are without reserve.

I'm with you Claude, auctions with a reserve are a waste of time.

Subject: [MOPO] Chasing reserve prices on ebay

I have noticed that most sellers do not use reserves any longer and either start low or at the price they want for the poster.

I personally do not bid in reserve auctions any longer as I feel they are a waste of time and just help the seller to obtain as high a bid as possible and then the seller sees who bid and has an opportunity to sell it privately and avoid ebay commissions.

I do not even bid low but just track the ones I am interested in to see what the ultimate disposition is.  My question to collectors----Do you feel the same way or do you continue to chase reserves?
