I second JR's comments...a good plot, solid acting, a reprieve from ten's of remakes....and maybe the movie business will come back.
While I do agree that digital 3-D might make a difference for the movie-going public, something else a whole lot better will have to be done about the movie going EXPERIENCE. At skyhigh prices, I want to do more than step on filth in the dark to sit in a seat that is so worn out that the concept of 2-3 hours sitting in it is unbearable. The average movie theatre has all the visual and emotional appeal of a warehouse. Until the "deliverables" to the consumer change, I would rather sit in the comfort, safety and enjoyment of my home and watch movies on DVD. Sure...the visual impact is much less attractive, but the environment is a lot more amenable to what is supposed to be an entertainment experience.
