I have one I know is original, and it's printed on the same paper
stock.

As long as we are on the topic of originals, reissues, reprints, and FAKES. I have an issue that I¹m hoping this group can help me with. I recently purchased a rolled example of the 1941 Advance ³Wild Bill² poster. It seems to measure a full 27x41 although I¹m not sure that I¹m accurate enough to identify a difference of 1/16 or so. I¹m concerned because the poster is printed on very thin paper. It seems to be thinner than the paper used for most posters that I have from that timeframe. Does anyone have an original of this poster and if so can he/she examine the thickness/weight of the poster? I wish I knew how to measure or better describe the thickness/weight of the paper. It just doesn¹t seem thick enough to me but perhaps the Advances were actually printed on this type of paper.
I¹d appreciate any help that I can get.
Bill
p.s. A big thanks to Sue and Ed for Learnaboutmovieposters.com (LAMP). I use it all of the time and really appreciate it. Additional thanks to Dan R for MoviePosterAuthentication.com which is another great resource for the collectors. Finally, a note of appreciation to Dave at Cinemasterpieces.com who has blended a nice mix of great pictures, good information and solid guidance into his site
