John: I have been having trouble posting to MOPO for the last two days.
Scott has helped me with this. Otherwise I would have posted that our new
Auction is now online!, but regarding this eBay seller. Heritage has reported
him to our eBay rep. This is something we are told they will look into but those
wheels, often, do not turn quickly. The rep
reports that with our evidence that this should get him
suspended. We shall see. I
noticed him last week when he put up a "Seven Year Itch" door panel which I sold
two sales ago of which, I am only aware of, the one copy out there. I began to
look at his other items and saw that many, many of the items were images taken
from our site. I have been asked why we did not use watermarks on our
images. We used to and I was told a couple of times that they had
obscured a corner flaw on a poster so I asked that they not be used over
the image. To be able to view the item in detail with our high resolution and
enlargeable imaging is the best way for all. I am as concerned about this person
as many on this forum and will continue to try and pursue with eBay.

I have just spoken to a Trust and Safety rep who said that before they
can pull listings they need written evidence. He suggested that MoPo members
contact him directly with full details of the suspect auctions.
The best way to get some action here is to get a number of emails from
MoPo members directly to one person at eBay.
I just had a look at the auction for the Australian Goldfinger 3 sheet
and it looks identical to one that was auctioned at Heritage some time
ago.
Incidentally I would also be interested to know how the bid history of a
private listing was revealed.
Lets hope this helps

Subject: [MOPO] the brasilian can still
make out like a bandit
even if ebay bounces the brasilian scammer, and i am sure that he has
thought this through. i am sure that he is writing down the identities of
all bidders--one by one--who he will surely contact once he is
bounced. he merely will say that he was suspended due to his credit
card expiring, so unsuspecting, novice ebayers will end up sending
money. we have all been scammed.....but wasnt it always when we were
desperate or excited about a rare find? wont a few pay him 1,000 for
an item that you know to be worth thousands.
MOPOers are a mere grain of sand on ebay's beach. yes, we
warn each other, but our audience is limited.
And think about it.....any of us here, if we wanted to pull a scam,
have have become educated in how to do it. maybe nakita gets MOPO
posts............
i just don't understand why he just didnt try to scam with a few
mediorce title. this guy's got balls--------about 40 TOP TOP TOP items
catching the eye of nearly all MOPOers. yikes.
