That is good news. The guy I spoke to at eBay said that they cant just pull
auctions like these until they have definitive proof so I guess Grey was able
to assist with this. I think the watermark on the images is only a
parial deterrent. The crooks will find a way to get around that and I wouldnt be
surprised if there are not more of these scams in the future. It seems to be
very easy to run a bogus auction like this and you have to wonder if it may
be happening on a regular basis with less obviously valuable items
that dont draw so much attention.
Grey has put together another exellent signature auction. I think one
of the things that set these auctions apart from the others is the way it is
presented on the internet with bidding available 20 or so days before the
auction and an extremely user friendly site. I'm sure this one will be another
success.
