Dear MOPO'ers,
Greetings. I am trying to buy or lease images of any OLD TRADE ADS that
contain classic comedians ranging from Red Skelton to Bob Hope (Charley
Chase, Buster Keaton, Jimmy Durante, George Burns, etc.)
These ads pop up in old Motion Picture Herald, Box Office, Film Daily,
Variety, Look, and MGM Studio News. These type of magazines and are pretty
hard to find.
Also, looking for the following Studio Yearbooks:
1. 1943 RKO Year Book (with the spiral binding) good Bob Hope and Danny
Kaye Hirschfeld drawings inside.
2. 1929-1930 MGM Year book (one was sold at heritage a year or two ago):
Has a Laurel and Hardy image, et al.
3. 1930 MGM yearbook for short films. Shows Our Gang and Charley Chase
art.
Always willing to pay $75 for color ones I do not have and $50 for decent
black and white (or gray) images. Not so much interested in owing the
original as I am preserving the Hirschfeld artwork. Thank you very much.
