eBay does not really offer any recourse other than
filing a seller non performance complaint, which, I
believe will count as 1 of the 3 lives that one is
afforded before lifetime banishment (to another eBay
name, no doubt).
... and you can neg him, so the rest of the world can
see evidence of a jeffin', back tracking butthead
seller.
True, it does blacken your ebay id somewhat if he
reciprocates, but wouldn't you rather have a facial
scar on an expensive piece because you "saw it
coming", rather than a stinger in the bee-hind?

Today I got this email from the seller:

my auction and I had to contact eBay to cancel this auction. I apologize for
any confusion and hope you understand. I have informed eBay and they are aware

AS you can all see, the auction was not canceled and I clearly won this piece.
He is refusing to sell it to me. Do I have any recourse in this matter?
Obviously, I can leave him a negative, but then he will leave me one, and what
good does that do?
