Kirby,

That's a *very* interesting theory that I didn't think of! With all the
permutations of the title I could easily imagine it evolving from the poster
like that. I was trying to visualize what could've been on the upper panel,
what with all the delightful business on the bottom.

Makes me wish I would've tried a little harder. A pox on this accurs-ed,
money sucking holiday! Should've saved more dosh for reefer.

I think the title THE BURNING QUESTION is what is missing (from the upper
panel) and that REEFER MADNESS may have been used as a tag on this poster. I
think the poster may have been rarer than even this result would indicate.
Nevertheless, a very good performance for what is, after all, a fragment on
ebay.

Anyone want to venture what a complete original three sheet for this film
would be worth? I think maybe $4 to $5 thousand.

At the risk of picking nits, "Reefer Madness" was not the title during the
original release, that would be "The Burning Question" or alternatively "Tell
Your Children, The Burning Question". I have no doubt though that this was
from it's first release as "Reefer Madness" though, as it reflects some of the
artwork from a WC Bruce sold some time ago for "The Burning Question." This
would seem to indicate it was still with its original distributor for this
release and not the fly-by-night hucksters from later in it's life.

Congratulations to both you and the lucky bastid who won it.

  In any case,
the title on the poster is REEFER MADNESS which was the original
release title and not one of several differing re-release titles. Visit the
