Hi, MoPoers:

I'm looking for anything at all - posters, lobbies, stills, film, literally
anything - from the 1922 silent The Man From Glengarry.

Directed by Henry McRae, starring Anders Randolf, Warner Richmond and Marian
Swayne, produced by Ernest Shipman (husband of Nell Shipman).

This is a lost film (the National Archives of Canada has a very short fragment
from it), based on the novel by Ralph Connor. Though largely forgotten now,
prior to WWI Connor was one of the best-known novelists in the English-speaking
world.

This is a personal quest. I am a resident of Glengarry County, Ontario. Connor,
aka Charles Gordon, was a native of this county and still its most famous
native son. I've become active in the local historical society and, though not
a fan of his books, have set it as my mission to find as much material as I can
from The Man From Glengarry and the other films based on his novels.

In six years I have come across just two lobby cards from the film, thus the
appeal to you, the good members of MoPo.

The skimpy IMDb listing for Man From Glengarry can be found here:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0014251/

A Wikipedia article on Connor is here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_Connor

Other films based on his books are: Glengarry School Days, God's Crucible, The
Sky Pilot, Heart of a Lion and Cameron of the Royal Mounted.

If you have anything from these films, as well, please don't hesitate to get in
touch.

Thanks,
Dave Rosen
