the discussion of THE UNINVITED makes me say....... if people snipe, the winner pays less!! bidding wars are for amateurs. SHOULD YOU SNIPE??? >>>>>check out the bidding history of this one: _http://cgi.ebay.com/Come-Back-Little-Sheba-Burt-Lancaster-S-Booth-22x28_W0Q QitemZ270154746986QQihZ017QQcategoryZ60331QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewIte m_ (http://cgi.ebay.com/Come-Back-Little-Sheba-Burt-Lancaster-S-Booth-22x28_W0QQitemZ270154746986QQihZ017QQcategoryZ60331QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewIt em) i love this film......have the one sheet framed (one of my cheapest). paid 24.99 for it 2 years ago, on linen (i was the sole bidder), and replaced my avergae/good condition one i had purchased 18 years ago when i started collecting. over the last nine months, i purchased on ebay the half sheet and insert of THE UNINVITED. i got the half sheet with a snipe service (8 seconds or so). the insert i bid myself about 30 seconds before the auction ended. that gave the person i beat the opportunity to bid again when i outbid him. my failure to bid close to the auction's end cost me an extra 35.00. (i got it for about 230, since the poster was miscategorized.) SNIPE, SNIPE, SNIPE. my Want List decreased last week when i got STRANGERS ON A TRAIN half sheet from Heritage's weekly auction. i suspect that Heritage's weekly auctions get some good/high values because sniping is limited there. i placed my bid on this poster about 30 seconds before the auction ended. 2 other bids were placed just minutes before the auction ended. i am sure that i would have paid more for the poster or not gotten it had i not sniped.
