I just saw the new Indiana Jones movie and think it is terrific!!! The dry Indy sense of humor was still there, of course the special effects and sets were fabulous, and I was very touched by the fact that Lucas/Spielberg, et al, included Karen Allen in spite of all the problems she has had over the years. The facts about the crystal skulls are not really known. I believe 5 or 6 of them have been uncovered, but scientists have studied them as only scientists can and still can't determine how they were made or their origin or their purpose. The one at the Smithsonian has been under constant study for years, and they still haven't made any progress. One of the many theories is that they came from outer space via extra-terrestrials; and if I were making a movie that took place in the 50s when Communism and UFOs were in the forefront (remember Roswell?), I think I might choose the skull theory that they came from outer space also. My big disappointment was Cate Blanchett, one of today's great actresses. I thought she was entirely too wooden. Two things I don't understand, however, regarding Harrison Ford: 1. How comes he looks so much older when none of the MOPOers have aged? and 2. How could he possibly get involved with a no-talent, unattractive woman like Calista Flockhart?
