Does the term "iTunes" not signal that the music industry has not
only lost that battle but accepted the future?
Look on the bright side, unless we have to have a machine which holds
our personal library, at least we won't have to set the clock on your
vcr/dvd players.

Yeah, but don't forget the film and music industries have been
fighting that future tooth and nail for years, trying to prevent it
from coming into existence!...

Subject: [MOPO] MOPO- whats Missing in the MOVie Today- Tinstown
Fizzles
As i was thinking whats wrong with movies today.. I figured it out..
Insincere and lacking a soul
Ill explain.... about the 90s the age of directors started to go
down and down and down and so did
the age of actors.. when you see the production people there is
this arrogant attitude prevelent and dis -respect for older actors
and also people in general... Many people clamoring for that 5
mins of fame..
yet one day I spotted it.. My friend was shooting a fashion model
and she was really gorgeois yet when
I wnet over and looked , the photgraphy was great, lighting, her
body was great .. It looked like Avedon shot it... But as I looked
at the face I said... " shes souless" like it was empty... no
life.. nonthing touching me inside. thats when I saw that what
touched me in movie STARS was thier soul...... I mean Jimmy
stewert could sutter and just look at someone and speak Volumes..
so could Bogart... it was depth like a Multi level wine.. or a
fine woodworker.... these K-mart brand white teehed teenyboppers
that are trying to emit
experiance and suffering have barely got out of the parenet
basement and are on allowences still.
Nooo Garland and hedy Lamarr , and Great and all the actresses
carved out deep carreers I believe
from experiance... I could go on... an the craftsman of the studio
picture where true artisians not a
bunch of ego maniac rich kids that want to play Hollywood
producers so they can Buy House in Beverly Hills and lamboginis at
20 thats Just stupid and also sick and why the business is screwed
up at moment
The Good news is there are some people that can and do make good
films even now... and with all the new technical from Lucasfilm
and others the cost should go down.. and Im not sayin all young
people are souless... just thats more the norm.. they dont relize
because they havent had the life experiance yet.. the 40s are
getting the tatse and the 50s year old are about ready to jump
ship as the 60s and 70s the same.
However then look at Batman... 150 gross 1st weekend so that
defies alot..
the big question is what library of films will last and be watch
10-20 years from now or will it matter?
I suspect we will have a large dat base and be able to download
any song or pic or movie ever made
and it will be like a library pay per view. so the idea of
hardware will be eleiminated
why pay gas.. mail a dvd when it will be on a server in HD or
better quality No storage
we are living in the Jetsons age folks.. its here.. cell phome tv
phone star trk communicators...
next electric cars and hydogen,,, food cooked in
microwaves,,,,,,basic life support modules and soon Robotic
helpers...... I just bought a Robot sweeper at a Garage sale a
irobot believ it or not for 1.00,,,
