Uh, I finally thought of a poster mistake. Some of the 2001 posters show a Pan Am spaceship. Pan Am went out of business in 1991, so Kubrick guessed wrong. There was a regional airline operating as Pan Am in 2001, but it wasn't the "real" Pan Am. They just bought the rights to the name. Apparently, three different companies have used the Pan Am name after the real Pan Am died. I work at Boeing, and I used to get phone calls from one of these pseudo-Pan Ams.

Going back to Alan's Old Yeller poster, I would love to see that. Alan, if you have some way of taking a high resolution jpeg, I'll get out my 3-D glasses.

Thanks,
Roger

My favorite poster mistake is an Old Yeller insert I cherish that had such bad registration that when you look at it with 3-D glasses it becomes 3-D -
Funny thing about it, too, is how the dog is jumping off the poster -
A real treat!
