I don't know about this "breaking the inventory into lots" idea. Recently,
Collector's Book Store sold all THEIR posters this way at Profiles in
History, and it seems most of the posters and lobby cards were sold to
dealers, primarily dealers who are now either directly individually the
items or re-consigning the items to me!

So Collector's Book Store paid a healthy fee to Profiles in History so that
the posters and lobby cards could be re-auctioned individually, and even
after the costs of doing so the buyers expect to make a good profit on those
items!

Instead of that, Collector's Book Store could have simply consigned the
items to me, and cut out TWO middle men, thus surely making a lot more
money.

In this case, I would think the biggest problem is that the posters are in
the Netherlands, and the few dealers capable of selling such large
quantities directly are in the U.S., and I would think the cost of getting
the items to the U.S. might well be prohibitive.
