The weekend is here -- which means another round of going through ridiculous stacks of old paper and other detritus in musty rooms and closets. My two most recent "finds" (and I call anything I forgot I owned as that, "finds") -- are two giant photos of Rita Hayworth. The first is a 16x20 glamour art print by Hurrell (1941) -- and the second is a 12 x 16 Columbia studio publicity portrait from the 1940s. The images are vintage, but the photos are not. The giant 16 x 20 Hurrell photo was printed on double-weight art photo paper that likely cost me a small fortune, very heavy. The "cuter" 12 x 16 photo of Rita was printed on matte-finish paper and I don't know. Both prints are sharp and clear and aren't computer generated.
