Hi Paul Although Young and Innocent is certainly not one of Hitchcock's better known films it was a very important one for him. He was beginning to show his great potential as a director and he experimented in this film with young and little known stars and an incredible furthest to nearest climax at the Grand Hotel. This film had all of the ingredients of a Hitchcock classic with the familiar comic touches and a sympathetic villain hammed up to the hilt by George Curzon ("I dragged you up from the gutter and made you a star").
I would settle for even a lobby card but they are also elusive. If anyone has one to sell please let me know. As to Man Who Knew Too Much, I think the Marc Stone artwork on the trade advert that I have will have to do for me. www.johnreid.helpinghost.com/MANWHOKNEWTOOMUCHTRADEAD.jpg Regards John Sign up for my regular newsletter on movie memorabilia: http://www.moviemem.com/pages/page.php?mod=account&go=register Visit my Website: www.moviemem.com All About Australian posters: http://search.reviews.ebay.com/members/johnwr_W0QQuqtZg My eBay Store and Lisitngs: http://myworld.ebay.com/johnwr/ Exhibitions: http://www.moviemem.com/pages/page.php?page=15 JOHN REID VINTAGE MOVIE MEMORABILIA PO Box 92 Palm Beach Qld 4221 Australia ----- Original Message ----- From: Paul Gerrard To: MoPo-L@LISTSERV.AMERICAN.EDU Sent: Monday, August 10, 2009 7:50 PM Subject: Re: [MOPO] QUESTION: What's The #1 Poster You Wish You Could Own But Know You... Sorry John you can't have it, it's mine!! I'd even put up with the title change (The Girl Was Young) - not one of Hitch's best-known films, but I love the colours on that poster. Failing that, I wouldn't say no to the Peter Lorre Man Who Knew Too Much. If restricted to one poster, though, I'd probably go for the original quad for A Matter Of Life And Death. But then I'd also have to leave wall-space in my imaginary house of a thousand high-ceilinged rooms for a Gilda style B, Man With Golden Arm six-sheet, King Kong three-sheet, World Without End style B six-sheet, Dead Of Night doorpanel quad etc etc etc. Paul www.movieposterstudio.com In a message dated 10/08/2009 02:31:18 GMT Daylight Time, johnr...@moviemem.com writes: I'd like to have a Young and Innocent (Hitchcock) One sheet but my chances of finding one are pretty slim.
