A non-transparent Limerick for you all... There once was man with a DeLorean, oozing lots of decorum, His name was called Marty, who loved a good party, and drove it to the Movie Poster Forum
He took it to the future and the past, Where it sparkled and went really fast, The doors opened with finesse, and he loved to wear a dress, but the Movie Poster Forum was the best blast His Mate was called Doc, who was obsessed with a clock, he had a crazy white wig, fell on a twig, and now has a 2 inch Movie Poster Forum Date: Sun, 23 Aug 2009 19:01:38 -0700 From: exit...@gte.net Subject: Re: [MOPO] Bruce the transparent,,, To: MoPo-L@LISTSERV.AMERICAN.EDU "I think they suck big balls" Rich - Pithy as always... Look, we all know where it's at. You have multiple corporations (Bruce corp, Heritage Corp, fleaBay Corp and of course Richie inc) fighting for consignments and fighting for money. I fully expect some of these competitors to to advertise the things they think are wrong with their competitors because if they can wake people up (so to speak) then maybe it helps their business prospects. makes sense to me. Does Bruce do it alot, even more than his competitors? Sure. Do you really care?? I suggest that if it bothers you when I call that site fleaBay it's because I think they suck big balls, then please don't read my emails either. I have a confession Rick... for the most part, I don't bother reading your FA posts. They come in every day of the week, sometimes twice a day, and there is less for me in your posts than there is in any of Bruce's bashing posts which at least give me a chuckle when I read them. So if you want me to read your posts, I might recommend adding a chuckle to make it worth my while in closing, I would like to mention that I think fleaBay sucks. Bigtime. for all the reasons you can imagine. Heritage charges a whopping minimum $14 buyer's premium and that means that the $1 poster you bought from them cost at least $15 and if you spent that $15 on MoviePosterBid in my weekly 99 cents no reserve movie poster auctions which take place every weds, you may be able to get 14 more posters than if you spent that $15 at Heritage because we have no buyer's premiums at MoviePosterBid.com and you Bruce... on those Free 21 in print books you keep sending out, I think you need to print some different books because I'm getting tired of getting the same books over and over. the damned things are heavy!! If they weren't so heavy I'd give them out with my own auctions to lighten my load so remember folks, bid on my auctions because fleaBay Sucks! Heritage has a $14 buyer's premium and Bruce sends you heavy books (free or not). There supposed to be something wrong with free isn't there???? Every single email he offers to us all complaining about the horrors of eBay is automatically an advertisement for his own superior way of doing things. I wasn't going to comment on this, but it's been occurring so often that I felt driven to do so. This will undoubtedly land me in the MoPo "doghouse", but it is truly my belief that Bruce is the P.T. Barnum of movie posters. Every single email, though very often very brilliantly disguised---is an advertisement for his auction site. Hey, eBay deserves to be put down and criticized---it just seems a bit quizzical that the guy doing it the most has a vested interest in driving as many folks away from it as he can. Just a thought that others might be thinking. Hey, maybe I'm the lone voice in the wilderness. Alright----I'm hunkered down in my foxhole waiting for the first missile to be launched.
