What sucks is that Ms. Dargis DOESN'T belong at the show. She's so jaded she can't appreciate that people want to be close to their favorite films in any way. She should stick to watching film and not watching film-goers.
Now on a different note. I saw HURT LOCKER and it was amazing. Kathryn Bigelow is a brilliant filmmaker and it was the closest thing I've seen to a Sergio Leone film in a long time. I got to meet her and she's so cool. She was a painter and you can see it in her films. The cinematography was riveting and music powerful. The actors were wonderful and will have brilliant careers ahead of them. She signed autographs because yes, Ms. Dargis they want a brilliant filmmakers' autographs, not yours.
