From what I was told these were the very first "ziplock" bags that the
inventor had up in his attic, before they were ever released to the public.
And, this highly reputable source/expert tells me these bags could be worth
hundreds themselves, as they were never folded and are mint ‘rolled”.

up for sale this month at a major memorabilia auction house are four strands of
actual hair from the real 100 foot ape that played King Kong, from the Fay
Wray estate auction. Nicely framed with an intimate photo of Fay grasping at
Kong's chest hairs and you can see where she has actually pulled a clump of
hair that she later put into a "ziplock" bag where it was preserved for 75
years. The auction house states in their catalog that included is an original
photo of Fay Wray holding the bag of hair and also an original digital photo of
Kong's chest showing the bald spot on his chest that is in the image of Fay
Wray's hand. Hence, unquestionable provenance. Minimum bid $25,000 and it comes
with a COA from DNA expert Mighty Joe Young.

Well, Rich, those are really cool.
My favorite poster of all is my paper-backed special advance teaser
24-sheet for the original 1933 KING KONG authentically signed by King Kong.
The signature by King Kong is really large and is super rare since Kong died in
a tragic fall shortly before the finished film was released.....top that!
This is the only one known! I will stand behind the authenticity and the
poster (of course one gets lost pretty easily behind a paper-backed 24-sheet).

JFK poster signed by JFK. there seems to be a bullet hole in the
poster
Silly Symphonies "Three Little Pigs" signed by two of the pigs, the
third pig was bacon before I could get his signature
Snow White one sheet signed by all Seven Dwarves.. signatures are
kinda small
Jesse James poster signed by Frank & Jesse.. the frame is always
crooked dammit
Tarantula poster signed by the spider in silk.. Mara Corday is stuck
to the web
Dracula poster.. signed by Nosferatu.. unfortunately there are 2
bloody holes in the poster that never dry out

In 30 years colelcting vintage Hollywood autographs I have NEVER
seen her sign "Dorothy". About 7-8 years ago there was a forger (pretty
skilled) on eBay selling autographed OZ books. He would pick up the old Oz
books and trace the signatures from an authentic Oz book sold by R&R in 2000
for $47,000. But the forger would go a step further and add "Dorothy". If
you were ware of the Genuine Oz signed book you could compare and see he was
using it as a reference. I even saw an experienced dealer sellign the set of
OZ forged autogroahs on eBay where the forger even traced the same Inscriptions
from the R&R book. So, outof the maybe couple thousand Judy Garland
autographs I have seen or owned I have NEVER seen her use "Dorothy". But, in
addition if you are familar with her handwriting this reproduction Oz poster
was NOT even close to her handwriting.

Am I being dense in thinking that if Judy Garland had
autographed the poster that she would have signed it "Judy" and not "Dorothy"?
Duh...
Also the border of this "original poster" was conveniently
trimmed to cut off any identifying markings of the company that reproduced it.
I might accept that it is barely possible there is someone with
over 500 feedbacks stupid enough to fall for this and buy it for $589 (from a
seller with 7 feedbacks no less), but I'm not willing to believe there are
*two* such people and that they both saw and both bid on this same auction.
It's 99% certain both top bidders are shills.
Although eBay does not provide enough information in the
jokingly-named "bid history" these days to tell anything about a bidder, the
supposed winning bidder has only bid on 2 posters in the past 30 days -- this
and one other. The guy he outbid (whose maximum was $579) only bid on 1 poster
in the past 30 days -- this one. There are some people who set up "shill
bidder" accounts 5 or even 10 years ago on eBay and have been building up the
feedback of those shill bidding accounts so they look "real". And they don't
necessarily have an exclusive connection with a particular seller. There are
some sell shill bidder services clandestinely. They will bid on your items up
to the amount you tell them to, with the agreement that if they happen to win,
they don't pay for the item but you tell eBay they have and you leave each
other positive feedback.
