UK 22x28s are usually described in the pressbook as Display Card.

  I am looking at some invoices that I have from 1962-63 from a variety of 
Poster Services.
  One from Theater Poster Service on Sheridan St,in Oklahoma never uses the 
word Poster to describe anything other than the title of its business.

  In fact a half-sheet is described as  22x28 Photo; other terms of art are 
8x10 still;One sheet;Three sheet; Six sheet;11x14 sets; 1col mat; etc.

  The word poster is similarly absent from most of the invoices I have from 
other services as well. More about what sizes do you need and how many? 
  In fact the only common term I see from most of these services, when 
referring to their product, is something like "Please return all paper every 
week"
