One of my favorites for pop music content (Jolson Story is still my  over-all)
seemed to go out of its way to get not one single fact right - but no film captured the
feel for the early rock and roll music scene than did American Hot Wax. Having
Chuck Berry, Sreamin' Jay Hawkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Fankie Ford in it, didn't hurt. Most references list it as a bio pic of Alan Freed - but it really only coved about 5 days
in his life - it was more a bio-pic of the 50's music industry in the US
