we see this in every form imaginable and for all kinds opf posters
there is one seller who has a bunch of auto & beach related posters
titles like Surf Party, Out of Sight, Hot cars, Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow
he has had these posters listed ad-nauseum at 99 cents w/ a reserve
every week, some of them get bids and Dragstrip Hollow + Surf Party
have gotten very good bids.. But they've never met the reserve which
must be outrageous. But he relists them every week
The listing fees may be negligible.. but the reserve fees this year
alone have eaten away at anything he could have gotten for the posters
it's just one example..
me.. I don't like having a warehouse full of stuff I never get to (I
only have so much time) and would be satisfied to get anything
reasonable (as you all know)
lack of business sense is the general culprit, though some people I
have no doubt do it just to be impressed with themselves.. much like
that garbage dealer we have for an ambulance chaser around here

In the last few months, I've been seeing some extremely attractive
foreign posters on Ebay with incredibly high prices. While I can
understand testing the waters initially, none of these pieces sold.
Why would a seller continue to do this rather than lowering the prices
so that people might actually buy them?
