great Philipp - this shows that the movie poster market is growing on
the world level.
Probably will be like all amaericana and they will discover what we
take for granted.
I just saw a cool video by Walter Rueben on Youtube called Collecting
movie poster walterfilm
In It all the peopel describe thier passion and love for the art and
posters.. It is what is important in the long haul..
o many peopel have helped make the industry better,, from Sue and ed
poole to John Kisch, Tony Normand, Bruce Hershenson, Heritage , all the
linenbackers and restorers like Dario and Igor edelman , Morris Everett
, all the dealers on Mopo and Collectors, all those that have made books
and had displays and shared the poster art.
the museums that have exhibited , the studios that created them the art
dept and artist...
I remember the 1st books like the Mgm poster book and the Reelart book
and all the hershenson catalogs that are all part of the history and
legacy that will keep the hobby alive.
The art form could be a debate as there was a period where the
illistrators and painters ended with a few exceptions like Drew ,
Howevere it seems after 90 ther use of computer design and photos became
the norm.. Looking back at the vivid 30s stone lithos is awesome
well.. I think posters will never go out ... I just hope they can be
viewed and preserved for the future so others can see themand experiance
them.
best, Tom

Fellow poster addicts,
I am currently on business in Beijing and read the news of China's
first movie poster exhibition ever.
I will go check them out this weekend.
