As soon as I see an auction on eBay has a reserve, I automatically don't
bid on it. Sellers should either list the item at a set price or do it
auction-style with no reserve. I've found there's often too much b.s. when the
item item has a reserve...

Ebay could be run better, but I also see sellers who have worsened the
experience so in at least some cases there are unhappy and whining sellers
with self inflicted unhappiness. With the caveat that sellers can do whatever
they want and I have no interest in pointing to anyone in particular, it
seems really churlish to list posters at let's say $25 for an opening bid to
create bidding interest and frenzy...and bids are placed at 20, 30 times or
more the opening bid, only to have the reserve unmet.
