Hi, being rained away last Sunday on a book market I picked up a 30's postcard
album. Usually I don't go for this sort of thing, but it was raining heavily
and the album was on the stand next to ours. It's a nice assortment of American
and German stars and movies with quite a lot of Dietrich and Garbo So I thought
I could not really go wrong. Most of them are regular postcards printed by the
usual printers from Germany, France, England or Holland, but a few of them are
apparently given away by movie theaters. I did not know of such a practice.
Were postcards used in a similar way in other countries?
I've attached pics of a nice example for Betty Boop which to my reckoning is a
rae object in itself. Can anyone confirm this?
