Maybe, Filip, this lot is not right for you. But, I am sure that there is someone out there willing to pay for the excitement of finding out what the other 39 titles are.
Personally, I would expect them to be folded french one-panels from '68 - '93. Nothing more or less. It would be a very interesting question to determine if a collection of 45 misc French one-panels from '68 - '93 sells for MORE, LESS or the SAME depending of if they are explicitly listed. However, I suspect the answer might be different if the bidders knew if the 6 items pictured were randomly selected from the pile, or if they were the 6 best. Personally, I would not be surprised if this lot sold for as much or even more that this lot would sell if the titles were enumerated! And if that is the case, there is certainly no motivation for the auction house to take the time to list them. " wow , that's quite some customer service , buy stuff with no titles listed (too much work to list 45 titles ? since an average emovieposter.com mails contains 100-500 lines ... it's hard to believe 45 lines can not be written to have customers KNOW what they're buying , would it be safe to suggest that besides the 6 listed titles the rest is total and utter crap that when title given wouldn't sell for 10 cents ? ) I thought there was some ' know what you buy , know what you get ' policy at emovieposter.com but hiding behind some bulk lot sale strange "explanation" it's like walking into a henhouse with you're eyes closed hoping ... forget it , no way , you WILL end up with a lot of chickenshit on your shoesDate: Sun, 15 Jul 2012 06:20:46 -0500 From: brucehershen...@gmail.com Subject: [MOPO] FA: 273 bulk lots of all types and sizes containing 8,519 items in all close in 9 hours; incredible deals! To: MoPo-L@LISTSERV.AMERICAN.EDU I JUST LOOKED OVER THE 273 BULK LOTS CLOSING IN A FEW HOURS, AND I SAW LOTS AND LOTS OF REALLY WILDLY UNDER-PRICED ITEMS, SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE BEST VALUES EVER, THEN BE SURE TO LOOK THESE OVER VERY CAREFULLY, BECAUSE AS OF RIGHT NOW, THERE ARE INCREDIBLE DEALS! MAYBE THERE ARE SO MANY LOW PRICES BECAUSE THIS IS A TWO WEEK SUNDAY AUCTION AND SOME BIDDERS DON'T REALIZE TODAY IS THE DAY THE AUCTIONS END! Three times EVERY week we auction hundreds of items that sell for low, low prices (we actually sell lots and lots of items for $1 and $2, and around half of all that we auction goes for $14 and under (and those are pretty evenly spread between $1 and $14), and our leading 'competitor" NEVER auctions even ONE item for less than FIFTEEN DOLLARS, due to their outrageous $14 minimum buyers premium). But Sunday's 273 bulk lots containing 8,519 items in all (only bulk lots, and the most we've ever offered at one time!), closing THIS AFTERNOON (not at night, like our Tuesday and Thursday auctions), on July 15th, represent REALLY incredible values, and that includes a lot of really good lots, and yet many of these are currently languishing at low, low, prices! With just 9 hours to go, these 273 bulk lots include a CRAZY 36 that are $1 each or have no bid, a not-to-be-believed 43 that are still $3 each and under. and a MOUNT EVEREST-LIKE 66 that are still $5 each and under! THAT'S RIGHT, 24% OF THESE ITEMS ARE $5 EACH OR UNDER (and 13% are $1 each!), AND THAT INCLUDES A LOT OF GOOD LOTS YOU CAN SURELY BREAK UP AND PUT ON EBAY AND MAKE MUCHO PROFIT ON! Some may say they can't afford to spend money on "frivolous" items like these right now, but I say you can't afford NOT to, both because many prices are lower than you could possibly imagine, and this opportunity might not pass this way again anytime soon, and also because THESE paper items seem far more likely to hold their value than our paper MONEY which erodes in value with each passing week!
