hello Folks and thanks for all the emails and Phone calls of people
wanting material from me... as many may know or not I almost died a few
years ago from a diabetic sepsis infection so I was down for the count
.. not looking for pity as I am persistent and believe God is teaching
me tons of stuff and adversity is welcome here to teach me stuff.
well so I have been told to cool it till my foot heals but being the
persistent little sicilian. bermudian British.scottish and american
background - I dont know how to Give up..:) when I hear story's of
othes much more intelligent them me I cant believe im even alive or
still been selling stuff period.. Ive made my products in casts on one
foot and half blind.. and stuff I could never Imagine I credit God as I
prayed for help.. even offered to stop dealing in memorabilia.. so whats
he do?? send people with Memorabilia to me..the man that sold me this
collection inspired me as he has seen much in life.. a good man... when
I offered more he said no Ill take less how many people do that? It
turns out his family is one of OHIOS largest banking family's. he said
to me they wont cash my check and I comment well they should give you a
50.00 csah card for the deal I guess they didnt know his relative was
the ceo of the entire Bank... he laughed//
I didnt have a clue as he was such a down to earth man,, and possessed
the passion of collectors who would collect because they liked the
movies not just money values.. I come from that group.... I love to see
peoples face light up over a find that affordable and because they like
movies not because they want to conquer as many collectors just dont
have the funds but are stewards of the genres,,
so two things happened a nice gentleman called me about the universal
and realart Lobby cards.. and I proceeded to explain I dont think they
are real but he said I might have some real one ,,, well I will be happy
to sell them In a lot as i told him if by some chance thee is a original
thats great for the next guy and if not I can sleep knowing I was honest
and did my best... he said that Forrey ackerman also laminated his lobby
cards to preserve them/// I know my colector bought some repro from
Robert Bocsh archival in Detroit and shows all over USA and many of the
cards for varied movies are 100% real.. I just cannot determinae all so
Im selling them as all just being reprints... as Borsch said he gets
10.00 for a 8x 10 alone and not laminated im sure that adds 5.00 and
materprints sold them for like 15-19 a pieces... My logic says a dealer
could do well if they payed 5.00 ea wholsale and take the lot and sell
them at shows I have about 400 Or more all different abd all types of
films or make a offer... they are really cool and
like cinevent etc,, ready to go and laminated they have like all the
horror films people wantplus erials musicals and things like Flynn and
more
so my other odd thing was someone asked me for sisters a depalma movie
and from memory I thought I had a inset in a older lot ive had sine
80s.(i did find Blow out and dressed to kill inserts).. well he said Ill
take it paypaled me and then I went to find it...Nada/ 400 inserts and
it was not there so then I looked at my old list from 1990 well it said
I had a 1sht and partil lobbies.. so decide to look for the lobbies -
nada....but there are boxes I have not seen in years as my personal
collection got mixed in because when you move 2 times it all get jumbled
up and disorganized.. also Ill ne 58 next week and my brain is not as
sharp as when I was 45 :) so I refunded him back and looked at today as
a lesson and wht I should do... so 1st,,, I will slowly offer Items to
the list that I see ad touch and if no one gets it Ill auction them on
ebay....NO lists as thats what my ex did I never had the patienec to
make lists...sure I give stuff at better prices but I told a man tonight
my goal is to pay some expences and help others and be able to give
more time to non profit things If I can help dispose of collections
great and its fun to see the stuff again but I dont want to hord it..
its more fun getting it to people that are really into it..and my life
clock is ticking away..so I apologize to everyone as It sue got peole
excited and I think Ill just make lists of stuff as I go through it and
may over lots so you can get a whole grouping of a particular subject
and it will be easier for me to pack.
why someone like me would be allowed to meet so many kind people Ill
never understand.. Bit thank you all for the suppot and understanding
while Im in this phase of life...
ohh also yu probably heard the city of Toledo has been in panic mode as
they turned off our water supply.. uep a toxic algae plume like Toxic
avenger !! real green goop the city looked like Omega man as all
restraunts closed/// me.. I thought thank You God as this sems to be
perfect fufillment of what I beleive is what will happen.. so Its ok,.
and its the Big picture Im hoping For not .. this one I think it will be
like a giant picnic reunion with all out friends and family and yes Tv
stars and movie stars. but all will be well and healthy and happy and at
peace,, thats what i hope for ethernity God bless.!!.
