dear Movie Nut- fact is there are few on this list including me that
could ever answter anything but a opinion...
the opinions are either based on the interest and demand for title based
on historic track record of sales. or indicators like regions and say a
trend of interest renewed on a star, director, artist, or category...
If anyone knew it they would buy up all the titles and have all the
hot ones.. But it varies.. and also what appeals to die hard
collectors may be of little
 concern to novice

see fans that just like the
movie and in auction all you need is like 2-3 people that really want
it to set a record,., i may just happen that one time,,,or if you look
at aucion records of Bruce, heritage, and others like ebay you me get
a GUT feel...
the great thing about ebay if your too low they will bid it up.. if to
high people
may wait or stall... thats when You have to speculate and
use gut instinct and may hold em and wait for the market to ripen...
knowing when To sell is a art. we all miss the mark or wait because we
think it may sell for more.. In my case ive been selling where
dealers can buy and resell...but then some want to a make more then a
25 50% or 100% markup and some want double..on some titles I feel have a long
shelf life and always will sell I have found it does not matter if I
sell off quick as hey should be good... one lesser titles..I suggest
cut you losses and let them go at a fair low price.. they can always
be bid up...and a rare titles experiment and do research and see what
others have been selling the same for... bear in mind... shipping and
global location and other elements also come into play... It any of the
dealers knew anything certain why would they even consider auctions???
its really all up to finding someone who decides they will buy it like
used car, house. jewlery, stocks etc.. everything can fluctuate// so
Hope that helps you somewhat...many dealers will say thats too high,,,
seldom do tehy say you too low as they will jst buy it if so and resell
it..:)

Dear MoPo'ers

Once again, your wise counsel and wide experience would be welcomed
and, yes, once again I ask. I have just listed the following DORIS DAY
Spanish One-Sheet:

Is this Spanish poster rare? I am asking too much OR too little for
it?

Many thanks, John of http://www.movienut.co.uk/ [2]

Rare or not, there's little demand these days for Doris Day in
general, and this title in particular was never in any demand.

Definitely, asking too much…
