back in 1976 or 77 my buddy & I went to see the
Mahavishnu Orchestra at Queens College and John Fahey was the opening act
not being well known to most of my fellow rockers
at the venue, he was actually booed off stage by
morons who kept yelling for Mahavishnu
the more incredible thing about the booing is
that Fahey was really on his game that night. He
was absolutely fabulous sitting alone on stage.
Some of us kept telling people to shut up & let
him play.. They continued booing and after 45
minutes he stopped in the middle of a song, got up & walked off..
people are stupid.
