This brings back such I childhood memory. I too remember him singing Little Drummer Boy with Bing Crosby and it was really great. They were many generations apart yet it was so interesting. I remember too, the melancholy attached to it. The show became an unexpected tribute to Bing Crosby as his Christmas Special had been pre-taped in London and in the intervening time Bing Crosby had died while finishing a golf game in Spain, I think. Yes that was a cool childhood memory; from a time when there was only one TV in the houseand my parents of course watched Bing Crosby and our "Ziggy Stardust" was there singing with him.
