Hello All,
As many of you know I, personally, collect original movie posters and have an
extensive autograph collection that I have acquired over the past
45+ years. Last year I moved my business from Los Angeles, after 55 years
living there, to the state of Washington. It was sort of a semi-retirement,
which didn't really turn out that way!! While I continue to ship the custom
frames I make for collectors all over the world and still do a lot of the
studio's framing, I sized back a bit on the large volume accounts we do for
corporations. Part of that reasoning was just to have a break from the long
hours but also to begin selling the collection. A little over a year ago, I
posted to the group that I had opened a small ebay store and listed about 500
movie posters of various sizes. Many of you not only bought a lot of what I
had listed but gave me want lists of other titles you were looking for. We got
over 150 want lists in the first month.
David Rew in Australia built me a nice website for the collection but we
have been so busy with the move to Washington, the re-inventory of the
collection, the filling want list and all that comes with it, we haven't had
any time to load images and get the website up and running. We hope to do that
this year. In the meantime, I have been photographing the autograph collection
and have listed a bit more than 100 so far in my ebay store. I am also trying
to list movie posters in the store regularly as I photograph them or if I have
one being returned from the linenbacker before it gets filed back into the flat
drawers.
