All been a bit quiet here recently, so here is a hypothetical situation for
you to consider. A dealer advertises on MOPO that they are looking for a
particular poster, and you reply that you have one for sale at $500. They
respond that current auction prices are around $300, so you suggest that
they would have to wait for an auction then. You point out that they are
likely (according to past data) to be looking to sell the poster  to their
client for around $1500, so your price is reasonable. Their answer is that,
although they haven't been able to find the item elsewhere, as a dealer it
makes no sense to 'overpay'. Does that in fact make sense, or are they just
being greedy?
