Dear Mopos - Ran across the below attached article this morning - It’s about the collecting and monetizing of virtual artwork. It blew my mind in a Phillip Dick way!
Been at the posters-as-art game a long time but understand zilch about crypto commerce. But now there’s a virtual art world - And something tells me there may be some unusual twists to poster collecting in the future. The concept of building a virtual poster library may not be so unusual - And many of us have monetized poster imagery. But this new wrinkle presents a whole new round of possibilities. For those of us who have loved paper and ink all our lives - The time may arrive when virtual posters, movie props, stills and production art will be bought and sold for big dollars. Maybe it’s already happening.
